Stuart T. Robertson is a seasoned distillery professional with over 30 years of experience in the whisky industry, holding senior leadership roles across production, warehousing, visitor experience, and strategic development.
Stuart T. Robertson is a seasoned distillery professional with over 30 years of experience in the whisky industry, holding senior leadership roles across production, warehousing, visitor experience, and strategic development. He holds a Diploma in Distilling and has managed some of Scotland’s most renowned distilleries including The Dalmore, Springbank, Ben Nevis, and several Diageo sites.
Stuart’s expertise spans strategic planning, new product development, cask management, compliance, finance, HR, and marketing. At The Dalmore (Whyte & Mackay), he maintained full operational responsibility for production and warehousing while also acting as a global brand ambassador. His achievements include implementing a 5-year strategic plan, standardising production processes, and overseeing major site upgrades.
At Ben Nevis, he modernised operational culture, enhanced production efficiency, aligned the site with COMAH regulations, and successfully presented long-term strategies to Nikka and Asahi in Tokyo. Earlier in his career, Stuart managed warehousing operations for Diageo, driving process improvements and infrastructure development.
He has been instrumental in developing distillery projects such as the eco-conscious distillery plan for Duncan Taylor and establishing the Springbank Whisky School. His tenure at Springbank included end-to-end management from malting to bottling, and he regularly represented the brand at major whisky events.
Known for his leadership, technical knowledge, and cross-functional capabilities, Stuart is passionate about quality, innovation, and elevating the global whisky experience. He combines hands-on production expertise with strategic vision, making him a valuable asset for any forward-thinking spirits organization.
Based in the heart of Speyside, Neil Grant is the owner of Grant and Geoghegan, a highly respected firm of Chartered Planning, Development, and Architectural Consultants located in Elgin, Moray, Scotland. Neil is involved in designing our distilleries.
